Baseball Recap: Cambridge Continues Road Dominance on Wednesday

Cambridge had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Wisconsin Heights on Wednesday. The Bluejays were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Vanguards. The Bluejays not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 15th (when they won 11-1).

Cambridge pushed their record up to 13-2 with the victory, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. As for Wisconsin Heights, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-4 record.

Looking ahead, Cambridge will venture away from home to challenge Waukesha West at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wolverines will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Bluejays surely won't give up without a fight. As for Wisconsin Heights, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Marshall at 5:00 p.m.
