Basketball Recap: Bowen Continues Road Dominance on Wednesday

Bowen had won three straight road games and Tatianna Gibson did her part to make it four on Wednesday. Everything went the Boilermakers' way against the EPIC Academy Legends as they made off with a 45-19 win with plenty of help from Gibson, who went 11-for-18 to rack up 24 points along with six rebounds and five steals. Bowen is undefeated when Gibson posts five or more steals, but 1-2 otherwise.

D'Mya Adams was another key player, putting up five points and eight boards. She has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 17 times she's played.

Bowen's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for EPIC Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Bowen and EPIC Academy will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Boilermakers see the court they'll take on Baker at 5:00 p.m. on January 7, 2026. As for EPIC Academy, their break will end when they face Hirsch at 5:00 p.m. on January 7, 2026.
