Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Bishop Kenny

Bishop Kenny waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Spruce Creek Hawks by a score of 63-56. With that win, the Crusaders brought their scoring average up to 50.2 points per game.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bishop Kenny to victory, but perhaps none more so than Abby Baker, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 14 rebounds. Those 14 boards gave Baker a new career-high. Kathleen Crawley was another key player, going 8 of 14 en route to 21 points.

Bishop Kenny smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive rebound total in four consecutive games.

Bishop Kenny pushed their record up to 19-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Spruce Creek, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season.
