Basketball Game Preview: Turner Golden Bears vs. Bonner Springs Braves + How To Watch

Turner is 1-9 against Bonner Springs since December of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Golden Bears will take on the Braves in a tournament on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Turner saw some tournament action on Wednesday. They came out on top against KIPP Legacy by a score of 59-51. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Golden Bears.

Turner had a senior duo take command as Michael Marshall went 6-for-11 to rack up 20 points and Tyland Mcgee dropped a double-double with ten points and ten rebounds. Marshall is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Carlos Alexander was another key player, shooting 63% from the field en route to 11 points and five boards.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Bonner Springs against Schlagle on Wednesday as the squad secured a 63-36 victory. The Braves haven't had any issues with the Stallions recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Bonner Springs' victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Turner, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Turner was taken down by Bonner Springs 75-46 when the teams last played back in January of 2024. Thankfully for the Golden Bears, Kalen Streit (who went 7-for-14 on his way to 20 points and eight assists) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
