Brook Hill had already won 14 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29.5 points) and they went ahead and made it 15 on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 62-44 victory over the Douglass Indians. Given the Guard's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 200th, while the Indians are ranked 1058th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Brook Hill pushed their record up to 18-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Douglass, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season.

Brook Hill will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Dallas Christian at 2:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Douglass will also get a bit of a break before their next matchup: they'll face off against Troup at 12:15 p.m. on December 31st.
