Basketball Recap: Vision Piles Up the Points Against North Star

You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Vision's strategy against North Star on Thursday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Vision blew the North Star Huskies out of the water with a 44-11 final score. Vision has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 33 points or more this season.

Vision was led to victory by Raelynn Nickel and Aubrie Parrish. Nickel dropped a double-double on 11 points and 13 steals, while Parrish dropped a double-double on 13 points and 16 boards. Nickel is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 27 games she's played dating back to last season. Shaely Vollmer was another key player, putting up nine points and three steals.

Vision smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 30 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive boards in seven consecutive games.

Vision is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 5-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.3 points per game. As for North Star, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.
