Softball Preview: Mitchell County Eagles vs. Sumter County Panthers        
        
		
             The Mitchell County Eagles will challenge the Sumter County Panthers at 5:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Mitchell County will come in still looking for their first win of the season.
 Mitchell County came up short against  Monroe on Monday, falling  23-3.
 Meanwhile,  Sumter County unfortunately witnessed the end of their  four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of Shaw by a score of  8-7.
  Kamiyah Barron made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  scored two  runs and  stole three bases while going 1-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of  Tamia Aldridge, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-4.
 Mitchell County's loss dropped their record down to 0-15-1. As for Sumter County, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-7.
 Everything went Mitchell County's way against Sumter County when the teams last played  back in October of 2020, as Mitchell County made off with  an  18-9 win. Does  Mitchell County have another victory up their sleeve, or will Sumter County turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
