Basketball Recap: Tohatchi Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Tohatchi couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell 52-45 to the Santa Fe Indian Braves on Wednesday. If the Cougars were looking for revenge after losing 53-48 to the Braves when the teams met back in December of 2019, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Several Cougars players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Josh Dawes, who posted 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Adriano Begay, who scored 12 points.

Tohatchi's loss dropped their record down to 25-4. As for Santa Fe Indian, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-10 record this season.

Tohatchi does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Santa Fe Indian, they have already played their next match, a 64-35 defeat against Robertson on the 14th.
