Softball Game Preview: St. James Sharks vs. Carolina Forest Panthers

For the second straight game, St. James will face off against Carolina Forest. St. James will challenge Carolina Forest at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. St. James will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

On Wednesday, St. James needed a bit of extra time to put away Carolina Forest. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Panthers, sneaking past 4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Sharks have posted against the Panthers since April 19, 2023.

For Carolina Forest's part, Natalie Nesheiwat was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. Those two stolen bases gave Nesheiwat a new career-high. Zoey Wohlers also deserves some recognition as she hit her first doubles of the season.

St. James pushed their record up to 8-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Carolina Forest, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-5-1.
