Oxford Academy had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.5 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They blew past the Afton Knights, posting a 75-38 victory. Given the Blackhawks' advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 358th, while the Knights are ranked 832nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Oxford Academy's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Afton, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Harpursville the next time they take the court. Afton will host Harpursville at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, while Oxford Academy will host them at 7:15 p.m. on February 11th.
