Basketball Recap: Dakota Ridge Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Win

Dakota Ridge extended their winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Ethan Berninger. The Dakota Ridge Eagles blew past the Golden Demons 89-56 on Tuesday thanks to Berninger, who went 8-for-11 to rack up 30 points and seven boards. The contest was his third in a row with at least 17 points.

Another player making a difference was Caiden Dixon, who went 7-for-9 en route to 18 points and five rebounds. What's more, he also posted a 78% shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's posted since back in November of 2023.

Despite the loss, Golden still got an impressive performance from Leif Hansen, who went 5-for-9 on his way to 16 points. Hansen is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games he's played. Zach Orser was another key player, going 5-for-7 to rack up 13 points.

Dakota Ridge's win bumped their record up to 15-6. As for Golden, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dakota Ridge will host Wheat Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Dakota Ridge is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 65.5 points per game this season. As for Golden, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Green Mountain at 7:00 p.m. Green Mountain also hasn't been messing around on offense: they've averaged 59.8 points per game.
