Basketball Game Preview: Yates Lions vs. Furr Brahmans

The Yates Lions will take on the Furr Brahmans at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Yates' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last nine contests.

Yates is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Washington just ended the team's eight-game winning streak on Tuesday. They lost 91-70 to the Eagles. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Lions have suffered since February 27, 2024.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Furr against North Forest on Tuesday as the team secured a 59-31 win. The Brahmans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 25 points or more this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Furr and bumps their season record up to 12-7. As for Yates, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-6.
