Basketball Recap: Richfield Beats North Sanpete for Their Third Straight Win

Richfield had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They walked away with a 59-52 win over the North Sanpete Hawks. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 53-24 back in December of 2024.

Richfield's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jordyn Bagley, who posted 18 points. Bagley has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Mailee Albrecht also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

North Sanpete lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Malia Schlappi, who went 5 of 9 en route to 14 points. Another player making a difference was Mariah Schlappi, who went 5 for 10 on her way to 10 points.

Richfield's victory bumped their record up to 12-9. As for North Sanpete, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-14.

Richfield will venture away from home to take on Juab at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for North Sanpete, they will welcome Manti at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
