Basketball Recap: Mt. Carmel Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Mt. Carmel Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost to the United Christian Academy Crusaders on the road by a 41-27 margin. That's two games in a row now that the Warriors have lost by exactly 14 points.

Despite the defeat, Mt. Carmel Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: freshman Darbi Hunsberger dropped a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds. Hunsberger is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Amelia Pierce was another key player, putting up four points in addition to seven boards and five steals.

Mt. Carmel Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for United Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season.

As of now, neither Mt. Carmel Christian Academy nor United Christian Academy have any future games scheduled.
