Basketball Recap: Morgan Snags Seventh Victory in Last Eight Games

Morgan extended their postseason success on Tuesday against Somers. They were the clear victor by a 51-31 margin over the Somers Spartans. The Huskies have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Morgan's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Emma Teuner, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 23 boards. Those 23 rebounds gave Teuner a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Maddy Grenon, who posted 15 points.

Morgan was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They are 19-2 when they've passed the ball that well.

Morgan is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-5 record this season. Somers' defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-11.

Looking ahead, Morgan will square off against Coventry at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Coventry comes in on nine and Morgan on three. Somers does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
