Recap: Rise Kohyang Tritons vs. The School of Los Angeles coyote
While the Rise Kohyang Tritons couldn't quite beat The School of Los Angeles coyote on Thursday, the two-point margin was a huge improvement compared to the 23-point loss they were dealt last Tuesday. Rise Kohyang fell just short of the coyote by a score of 49-47. Rise Kohyang was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the coyote apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
The School of Los Angeles found their leader in underclassman Oliver Sobul, who scored 28 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sobul has scored all season. Otis Bauer was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
This is the second loss in a row for Rise Kohyang and nudges their season record down to 4-9. As for The School of Los Angeles, their win bumped their record up to 3-8.
Rise Kohyang will be playing at home against the Grey Wolves at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Smidt Tech is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last nine games. As for The School of Los Angeles, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Boxers at 3:30 p.m. on January 26th. Animo De La Hoya is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.
