Baseball Game Preview: Boone County Rebels vs. Lloyd Memorial Juggernauts

The Boone County Rebels are taking a road trip to challenge the Lloyd Memorial Juggernauts at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Boone County has now lost eight straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since April 9.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Boone County and Conner, and Conner kept the tradition alive. The Rebels came up short against the Cougars on Wednesday, falling 11-1.

Meanwhile, Lloyd Memorial came up short against Dixie Heights on Thursday and fell 8-5. The loss continues a trend for the Juggernauts in their meetings with the Colonels: they've now lost seven in a row.

Grayson Begnoche made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. He is becoming a predictor of Lloyd Memorial's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 6-2 (and 6-11 when he doesn't).

Lloyd Memorial now has a losing record of 12-13. As for Boone County, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-12.

Boone County couldn't quite finish off Lloyd Memorial in their previous meeting back in May of 2025 and fell 3-1. Can the Rebels avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
