Baseball Recap: Cardinal Takes a Loss

Cardinal has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 2.95 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Wednesday. They fell 10-5 to the Knoxville Panthers. The Comets were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Panthers earlier this season, when they won 13-2.

Cardinal has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-7 record this season. As for Knoxville, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-8-1 record this season.

Cardinal didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 4-2 defeat against Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont on the 26th. Knoxville has also already played their next contest (against Pella), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
