Baseball Recap: Clinton Prairie Gophers vs. Hamilton Heights Huskies        
        
		
            
 Clinton Prairie was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight  loss. They fell just short of the Hamilton Heights Huskies by a score of  9-8. That's two games in a row now that Clinton Prairie has lost by  just one  run.
  Wyatt Harshbarger made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 3-for-5. Another player making a difference was  Malachi Corbin, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-2.
 On Hamilton Heights' side,  Nick Hulen made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching  an inning while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit (he also didn't allow any  walks). Hulen was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-3 with a  stolen base and two  RBI.
 In other pitching news,  Owen Robey tossed a big game,   striking out six batters over  4.1 innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   three  hits.
 Back at the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Pheonix Vondersaar, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-3.  Luke Davis was another key contributor,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-3.
 Clinton Prairie's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Hamilton Heights, their  win (their first of the  season) made their record 1-4.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clinton Prairie will take on Eastern at 5:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Hamilton Heights, they will play host again  on Tuesday to welcome Tipton, where first pitch is scheduled  at 5:30  p.m.
