After a string of five wins, Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell 3-1 to the North Tampa Christian Academy Titans. The Phoenix were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Titans earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made North Tampa Christian Academy work for it, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-20, 14-25, 25-20.

Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 12-3. As for North Tampa Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season.

Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate will square off against Universal Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. North Tampa Christian Academy has already played their next match (against Carrollwood Day), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
