Softball Game Preview: Shawnee Redskins vs. Elverado Falcons

Shawnee hasn't had much luck against Elverado recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Redskins will host the Falcons at 4:30 p.m. Shawnee has given up an average of 8.6 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Shawnee fell victim to Benton and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 15-0 to the Rangers. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Redskins' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, Elverado never let their opponents score on Monday. Everything went their way against Norris City-Omaha-Enfield as they made off with a 10-0 victory. Considering the Falcons have won eight matches by more than eight runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The win made it two in a row for Elverado and bumps their season record up to 9-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 0 runs in those games. As for Shawnee, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-8.
