League recap: Hall throws longest pass in league this season for Union

Ryan Hall and Dustin Alphin provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Trask. The longest such play in 2A/1A Conference 17 this season, the connection resulted in 92 yards.

Wallace-Rose Hill scaled the state rankings by moving to 129 from 155 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Bulldogs were able to move up by defeating West Bladen 53-12.

Dalen Faison was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 153 yards on 27 carries as the Titans bested the Titans. Teammate Wesley Perry added to the ground attack by rushing for 55 yards.

Union's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Spartans feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Hall has thrown for 316 yards and 1 touchdown this season, while Alphin has 5 catches for 124 yards.

A big matchup in 2A/1A Conference 17 this week will be when Midway takes on Clinton. The Raiders are in first place, while the Dark Horses are in third place.

The league will see a high scoring game when the Spartans and Wallace-Rose Hill face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Union comes in having scored 180 this season, while Joey Price's team has scored 235. Douglas Burley's team scored 29 points last week as it topped Trask.

Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, Midway beat Pender 52-6. This was the team's sixth consecutive win.
