For the second straight game, Skyridge will face off against American Fork. The Falcons will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against the Cavemen at 3:30 p.m. Skyridge is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.

Skyridge fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against American Fork on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Cavemen by a score of 6-5. The Falcons' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

For American Fork's part, Max Miller looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Miller has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, CJ Mascaro was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Harry Gardner, who went 2-for-4 with two runs.

The victory was the third in a row for American Fork, bringing their record up to 16-4. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Skyridge, their loss dropped their record down to 12-7.

Wednesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Skyridge hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .357. However, it's not like American Fork struggles in that department as they've averaged .365. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
