Football Game Preview: Delaware Academy Bulldogs vs. Sidney Team

The Delaware Academy Bulldogs will venture away from home to take on the Sidney Team at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Delaware Academy was handed a heart-breaking two-point loss in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Bainbridge-Guilford on Friday. The Bulldogs breezed past the Bobcats to the tune of 56-24. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 121st, while the Bobcats are ranked 384th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sidney). They blew past Walton 44-22 on Saturday.

Delaware Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Sidney, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

Everything came up roses for Delaware Academy against Sidney when the teams last played back in October of 2023, as the squad secured a 35-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
