The Nueces Canyon Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were outmatched by Sabinal on the road and fell 66-23. Nueces Canyon has not had much luck with Sabinal recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Among those leading the charge was Ricardo Perez, who scored 16 points. The game was his third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Joseph Contreras, who scored 13 points along with 9 rebounds.

Nueces Canyon's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Sabinal, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4.

Nueces Canyon will be playing in front of their home fans against Leakey at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Leakey comes in still looking for their first win of the season. Sabinal's road trip will continue as they head out to face Utopia at 12:00 p.m. on December 2nd.
