Baseball Recap: Cape Fear Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Cape Fear Christian Academy was the 6-4 winner over Pungo Christian Academy when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Cape Fear Christian Academy Eagles took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pungo Christian Academy Raiders on Thursday.

Landon Mclamb was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. He also put up a hit, which was his first of the season.

Cape Fear Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Pungo Christian Academy, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Cape Fear Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, an 18-0 win against Fayetteville Christian on the 18th. As for Pungo Christian Academy, they are taking a road trip to face off against Lawrence Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Pungo Christian Academy is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.
