Volleyball Preview: Hopewell-Loudon Chieftains vs. Seneca East Tigers

Hopewell-Loudon and Seneca East are an even 4-4 against one another since August of 2016, but not for long. The Hopewell-Loudon Chieftains will take on the Seneca East Tigers at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

On Thursday, everything went Hopewell-Loudon's way against New Riegel as Hopewell-Loudon made off with a 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Chieftains.

While Hopewell-Loudon won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-17, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Seneca East made easy work of Upper Sandusky on Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 win.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Seneca East to victory, but perhaps none more so than Natalie Daniel, who had 15 digs and two aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Sayge Miller, who had four digs and 16 assists.

Hopewell-Loudon pushed their record up to 15-4 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Seneca East, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.
