Lake Highland Prep extended their winning streak to three on Friday, bumping them up to 6-2. They put the hurt on the Trinity Prep Saints with a sharp 44-20 win. Considering the Highlanders have won four contests by more than 22 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Eddie Bohne produced another solid performance rushing for 145 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only nine carries, while also picking up 35 receiving yards. Another player making a difference was Will Wankelman, who threw for 102 yards and three TDs.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Lake Highland Prep was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 294 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 266 rushing yards in three consecutive games.

As for Trinity Prep, their record is now 5-5. The loss continues a trend for them in their meetings with Lake Highland Prep: they've now lost six in a row.

Despite the defeat, Trinity Prep had strong showings from Josh Shaw, who rushed for 186 yards while picking up 8.5 yards per carry, and James Ellzey, who rushed for 67 yards and one score on only eight carries. Shaw has become a key player for the Saints: the team is 4-2 when he posts at least 100 rushing yards, but 1-3 otherwise.

Lake Highland Prep wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 35-14 victory against Old Plank Christian Academy on the 31st. As for Trinity Prep, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 28-7 loss against Oak Hall on the 30th.
