Meanwhile, Mt. Vernon won against Centralia on Tuesday with three goals and they decided to stick to that goal total again on Wednesday. The Rams came out on top against Anna-Jonesboro by a score of 3-1. That's two games straight that Mt. Vernon have won by exactly two goals.

They hit Anna-Jonesboro with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Amiyah Graves, Amiya Farley, and Shayli Serrano.

Mt. Vernon's victory bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Triad, their win bumped their record up to 14-3-2.
