Basketball Recap: L'Anse Takes a Loss

After flying high against Dollar Bay last Friday, L'Anse came back down to earth. The L'Anse Purple Hornets were just a bucket shy of victory on Monday and fell 74-73 to the Lake Linden-Hubbell Lakes. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (66), the Purple Hornets still had to take the loss.

L'Anse's defeat dropped their record down to 12-4. As for Lake Linden-Hubbell, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which lines up perfectly with their 12-4 record this season.

While L'Anse had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
