Brush hadn't done well against Valley recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Beetdiggers walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Vikings. This was payback for the Beetdiggers, who suffered a 3-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

If you add up the scores from across all four sets (90-87) Brush actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 12-25, 25-22, 25-21.

Neveah Speicher paced Brush's offense, picking up 18 kills. Speicher got some help from Brailey Rudnik and her 22 assists.

The win made it two in a row for Brush and bumps their season record up to 9-12. As for Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.

Brush will square off against Eaton at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Valley, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Strasburg on the 23rd.
