The Davenport Broncos will head out on the road to square off against the Ridge Community Bolts at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Davenport is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season.
Davenport barely beat Bishop Moore the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Davenport put the hurt on Bishop Moore with a sharp 11-4 win on Tuesday.

Ashanti Pagan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up seven Ks. Those seven strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
On the hitting side, Davenport got a massive performance out of Jordyn Duran, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits Duran has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Avalina Cleffi, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Duran wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Davenport kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Ridge Community was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 15-0 to Poinciana, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.
Ridge Community's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Davenport, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-4.
Davenport's speedy runners might be the difference in Thursday's match. Davenport has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.5 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Ridge Community, though, as they've been averaging only 1.2 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Davenport continue to outrun the ball?
Everything went Davenport's way against Ridge Community when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Davenport made off with a 14-3 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Davenport since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
