Basketball Recap: Marion Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Marion can now relate to. They lost 41-20 to the Coleman Comets on Monday. The Eagles' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it nine in a row.

Coleman's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Emily VanSickle led the charge by dropping a double-double with 12 points and 11 boards. The dominant performance also gave VanSickle a new career-high in steals (six). Eliza Lewis was another key player, putting up 17 points and seven rebounds.

Marion's defeat dropped their record down to 2-18. As for Coleman, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-19 record.

As of now, neither Marion nor Coleman have any future games scheduled.
