It was a good run, but Centerville unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Lakota East Thunderhawks by a score of 47-44. The Elks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Thunderhawks apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2016.

Centerville's defeat dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Lakota East, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-7.

While Centerville had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
