Basketball Game Preview: Hays Hawks vs. Glenn Grizzlies

The Hays Hawks will head out on the road to challenge the Glenn Grizzlies at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a five-game winning streak alive.

On Friday, Hays took their matchup with ease, bagging a 61-23 victory over Lockhart. Given the Hawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 131st, while the Lions are ranked 783rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Liberty Hill typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Glenn proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 51-39 win over the Panthers.

Glenn's victory was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 30-3. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points per game. As for Hays, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-12 record this season.

Hays ended up a good deal behind Glenn when the teams last played on January 3rd, losing 62-44. Can Hays avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
