Basketball Recap: Hannan Starts off Right with Win over Ignite Athletics

Hannan gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 38-35 victory over the Ignite Athletics Flames. That's more bragging rights for the Wildcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Hannan found their leader in sophomore Braxton Fortner, who posted 15 points. Another player making a difference was Bryce Phillips, who earned nine points.

Ignite Athletics' loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 3-3.

Coincidentally, Hannan and Ignite Athletics will both be playing Tri-State HomeSchool the next time they take the court. The Flames will host the Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Wildcats will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
