Basketball Recap: Summit Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Summit Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a hard 43-27 fall against the Portsmouth Christian Patriots. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Patriots earlier this season, when they won 43-38.

Cloee Comberiati was the offensive standout of the contest as she posted 22 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Portsmouth Christian's points. Another player making a difference was Delani Nash, who put up eight points.

Summit Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Portsmouth Christian, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-12.

Summit Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 46-22 defeat against Spirit HomeSchool on the 6th. As for Portsmouth Christian, they have also already played their next game, a 37-29 victory against Denbigh Baptist Christian on the 4th.
