After flying high against Yantis last Tuesday, Cooper came back down to earth. The Cooper Bulldogs took a 46-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Como-Pickton Eagles on Friday. The Bulldogs' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

When it comes to explaining why Cooper lost, don't look at Marilynn Wilkerson. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds. Kelci Sonntag was another key player, putting up six points and three steals.

Cooper's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-13. As for Como-Pickton, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-11 record this season.

Cooper will be playing at home against Boles at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Boles will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Cooper surely won't give up without a fight. Como-Pickton has already played their next game (against Cumby), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
