Recap: St. Thomas Aquinas Trojans vs. Northern Highlands Highlanders
After flying high against Audenried last Saturday, the St. Thomas Aquinas Trojans came back down to earth. St. Thomas Aquinas fell to Northern Highlands 60-54. While losing is never fun, St. Thomas Aquinas can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 86th, while Northern Highlands is ranked 26th).
Lucas Dipasupil continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Northern Highlands, scoring 33 points along with four steals. Dipasupil continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Freddie Kanning was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
St. Thomas Aquinas has not been sharp recently as the team's lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-9 record this season. As for Northern Highlands, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-5.
St. Thomas Aquinas does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Northern Highlands, they will square off against Don Bosco Prep at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Northern Highlands focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up five on Tuesday.
