Basketball Recap: Mcbee Snaps Six-Game Streak of Wins at Home

McBee lost against Lee Central back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The McBee Panthers lost 62-36 to the Lee Central Stallions. The Panthers were down 54-27 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Leading Lee Central to victory were Serenity Williams and Ke'Myra Dennis. Williams almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine steals, while Dennis went 8 of 18 on her way to 20 points and six steals. Williams is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Hannah Reames, who posted eight points.

McBee's loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-6. As for Lee Central, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-3.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the McBee Panthers duke it out with the Lewisville Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lee Central, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 58-51 defeat against Powdersville on the 18th.
