Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Alamosa). They breezed by the Montezuma-Cortez Panthers to the tune of 64-35 on Saturday. Given the Mean Moose's advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 71st, while the Panthers are ranked 229th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Alamosa was led to victory by Aubrey Rothermich and Morgan Ortega. Rothermich went 7 of 12 en route to 16 points and four steals, while Ortega went 6 for 10 on her way to 17 points and eight assists. Jaelin Garcia was another key player, putting up nine points and five boards.
