Jordan-Elbridge dropped their record down to 8-4 on Wednesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Weedsport Wolverines by a score of 7-5. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wolverines earlier this season, when they won 11-7.

Jordan-Elbridge saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was David III Dominick, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.

As for Weedsport, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games.

On Weedsport's side, Nico Giacolone made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits (and only one walk). Giacolone has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Weedsport is undefeated when Giacolone posts two or more runs, but 3-4 otherwise.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jordan-Elbridge will square off against Central at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Weedsport, they will challenge Port Byron at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
