New Palestine got themselves on the board against Connersville on Friday, but Connersville never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 13-0 margin over the Spartans. Considering the Dragons have won six matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Jacob Morris and Gavin Neal made a splash no matter where they played. Throwing, Morris tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Neal tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four). At the plate, Morris went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run, while Neal went 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Carsyn Baker was incredible, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Rigg Mahurin, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

New Palestine is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Connersville, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. New Palestine will face off against Pendleton Heights at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Arabians' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Dragons' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Connersville, they will take on South Dearborn at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
