Softball Recap: Old Fort Stockaders vs. Lakota Raiders

Old Fort was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Lakota Raiders, falling 16-9. If the Stockaders were looking for revenge after losing 9-4 to the Raiders when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Abbi Ward made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored four runs and stole two bases while going 4-for-4. Another player making a difference was Ellie Skeels, who went 1-for-5 with one home run and three RBI.

Old Fort's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Lakota, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 3-3.

The Crimson Streaks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed ten runs per game on average), something the Raiders will no doubt try to take advantage of.
