Basketball Game Preview: King City Mustangs vs. North Salinas Vikings

The King City Mustangs will challenge the North Salinas Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. King City has now lost 12 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since December 4.

Last Tuesday, King City took a blow against St. Francis, falling 71-33. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1335th, while the Sharks are ranked 638th).

Meanwhile, North Salinas didn't have quite enough to beat Pacific Collegiate on Monday and fell 44-42. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

North Salinas' loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-11. As for King City, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-15.
