Dr. Maya Angelou Community is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. Their defense stepped up to hand Taft a 3-0 shutout. The Phoenix might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by three goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, Sylmar's game on Saturday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They beat Bernstein by a goal, winning 1-0. That's two games straight that the Spartans have won by just one goal.

Dr. Maya Angelou Community pushed their record up to 14-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those four contests. As for Sylmar, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season.
