Richfield has gone 8-2 against Carbon recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Richfield Wildcats will square off against the Carbon Dinos at 1:00 p.m.

Richfield is headed into Saturday's matchup hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight defeats. They took a 55-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Canyon View on Friday.

Meanwhile, Carbon escaped with a win on Friday against North Sanpete by the margin of a single free throw, 59-58. The Dinos haven't had any issues with the Hawks recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Carbon's win came from a few key players Richfield will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Ty Mortensen, who almost dropped a double-double with 13 points and nine rebounds. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Carter Warburton, who went 5 of 7 to rack up 11 points.

Carbon smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in four consecutive games.

Carbon's victory bumped their record up to 5-18. As for Richfield, their loss dropped their record down to 17-5.

Richfield beat Carbon 58-48 in their previous matchup back in January. Will Richfield repeat their success, or does Carbon have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
