While Waukesha West's win against Waukesha North wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Wolverines sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 victory over the Northstars on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Wolverines in their matchups with the Northstars: they've now won four in a row.

Anna Dornbach spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on six hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Amelia Carlson, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Waukesha West now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Waukesha North, they dropped their record down to 2-9 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Coming up, Waukesha West will head out to face off against West Bend East at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Waukesha North, they will host Waukesha South at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
