Children's Village falls despite big games from Makai Webster and Mansura Choi

The Children's Village Hawks 's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their sixth straight defeat. They fell 61-52 to Keio Academy of N.Y.. Children's Village was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Keio Academy of N.Y. apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.
Mansura Choi and Makai Webster certainly did their best on Wednesday to avoid the loss. Choi dropped a double-double on 18 points and 15 rebounds, while Webster dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. It was the first time this season that Choi scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Malik Williams, who scored six points along with nine rebounds.
Children's Village's defeat was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Keio Academy of N.Y., their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 1-12.
Children's Village didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 53-41 loss vs. Greenburgh-North Castle on the 9th. Keio Academy of N.Y. does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
