Soccer Game Preview: DePaul College Prep vs. Niles North

The DePaul College Prep Rams will be defending their home pitch for the first time this season when they go up against the Niles North Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. DePaul College Prep's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

While DePaul College Prep's win against St. Laurence wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Rams never let the Vikings get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory on Tuesday. DePaul College Prep haven't had any issues with St. Laurence recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

DePaul College Prep's one-goal win came courtesy of Eleanor Farrell, who's now up to two this season.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Niles North's offense. They came up short against Lake Zurich on Monday, falling 4-0. Niles North have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

DePaul College Prep's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Niles North, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Everything went DePaul College Prep's way against Niles North when the teams last played back in March of 2024, as DePaul College Prep made off with a 4-1 win. Will the Rams repeat their success, or do the Vikings have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
